Yoga increases flexibility and muscle tone, detoxifies the body, decreases your stress levels and stimulates your body the way it desires in just a few simple steps. I am sure you have heard of all the complicated, back breaking moves, but you can leave those to the yoga pros. Here are just a few examples of how you can incorporate yoga into your lifestyle in some simple, easy to follow ways;
-Practice the yoga mountain pose anywhere you are, at anytime. Wherever you are standing you can engage in mountain pose and ground your body, mind and spirit. It does not even take a lot of effort or time. Simply stand up straight, touch your heels together, spread your toes and fingers and tuck in your tailbone. Inhale slowly through your nostrils and exhale through the mouth. Your body will instantly feel rejuvenated and energized. All you have to do is dedicate five minutes of your boring standing time.
When it comes to breathing exercises you are once again not asked to dedicate a lot of time or pick a perfect location. A few increased and controlled exercises can go a long way in lowering your stress levels and relaxing your body. If you have just a few minutes of spare time all you need to do is sit comfortably or lay flat. Breathe in and out slowly in a set rhythm without applying effort. Close your eyes and focus on making even and deep breaths as your abdomen raises and lowers. All you need to do is focus, clear your mind and concentrate on your breathing. In just a few moments you will feel the ease and happiness begin to take over your body.
When people think of yoga, or picture themselves doing yoga, they imagine a struggle or hard work. This is simply not the case. Once you become accustomed to the lifestyle and the techniques you can delve deeper, but in the beginning just these two short steps can do wonders for your health. Ease into yoga slowly, take your time and most importantly relax. You will feel better, love yourself and within weeks be ready to take the next step.
