Believing in Karma: Combining the Law of Attraction and the Law of Cause and Effect to Achieve your Goals and Improve your Life

Which Path are you Destined to Follow?

Which Path are you Destined to Follow?

Karma

Karma is a notion or idea that many of us believe in, accept, and even practice throughout our daily lives. But how can karma or, to be more specific, the law of cause and effect actually work? Do we really reap what we sow? Will things actually go around and come back around?  Well to put it simply, yes. We all know how powerful our thoughts can be and how our actions can became the cause for a number of effects. Even in-depth science explains that, “for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.” So what does that mean for us? How can we engage in causes that bring about the effects we desire?

Combining the Law of Attraction and the Law of Cause and Effect

When the law of attraction and the cause and effect principles merge they can work together to produce a very powerful effect. Utilizing them together is an exceptional way to reach your goals faster and achieve your desires. Syncing up your actions and thoughts can in fact give you the power to accelerate your speed on the path to success. If your main desire is to find love, then you should not only be focusing your thoughts on love, but you should also be sending out kindness and love to everyone around you. This connects the law of attraction and the law of cause and effect, thus making your thoughts and actions more influential.  By walking the walk as well as talking the talk you are doubling your efforts and making a commitment to a more enlightened and rewarding lifestyle.

Before putting your positive actions and positive thoughts to work the real question becomes, which process is harder to do? Constantly ensuring your thoughts are positive and focused? Or engaging in actions that will help you achieve your goals? Once you have an understanding of which is harder for you, you will know which factor you need to put more work into.

positivismFate and Destiny’s Relation to Desire

What many people choose to neglect, when the discussion of positive thinking and karma comes up, is the effect of fate and destiny on your desires. There is always something deeper than what we are. Something that is planned or meant to be. No matter your religion, beliefs, or opinion of spirituality, it is clear that there is something much deeper that is often unexplainable. If your desires correlate with your purpose in life then it may be a lot easier to manifest your desires. Accordingly this could be why you feel such incredible and overwhelming happiness when you live your life with purpose and achieve your goals.

Putting Positivism at the Forefront

Essentially what the principle of karma does is justify the importance of positivism within our lives. Not necessarily social activism, just steady positive thoughts and positive reactions to certain situations. If you are committed to giving out kindness and love, that is what will often be given back to you. If you focus on negativity, anger, and conflict, then this is what you will receive. While you are urged to stay positive and connect on a spiritual level, there is often a fine line between passing on positivity and pushing it onto others. Your positivism will inspire others, but let it work on its own. Many times positive thinking is something that people need to find on their own, rather than be pressured into it as people do with other methods of thinking.

affirmationIn many ways, awareness itself can inspire enlightenment. Positive thinking and combing your thoughts and actions does not have to be an intimidating change. In the end, the actions and thoughts that you cast out into your life will bring in results that correlate to them. Just as a fisherman plans his bait in order to attract certain fish, you have to be aware of the bait that you are using to attract desires.

Just listen to your self, tell yourself what you want, act on your desires, and live life with purpose. You will be rewarded.

Get a Better Sleep with the Floating Bed

The Floating Bed Exudes Comfort

The Floating Bed Exudes Comfort

A Better Way to Sleep, Heal, and Relax

If you struggle with a sleep disorder, are dealing with insomnia, or just want to get a better night’s rest, you already know how frustrating nighttime can be. Well what if there was a solution that could help you sleep better and feel better without any prescription drugs or comatose inducing remedies? What if your bed could actually do something to improve your sleep rather than just lay there and mock you as you toss and turn? Think it isn’t possible? Then I suggest you take a look at a Floating Bed and the idea behind Floating Motion.

The Hassle behind a Good Night’s Sleep

Sleep is a finicky thing. Too much of it and you can feel drained, lazy and unproductive. Too little and you can feel exhausted, worn out, and have your brain start refusing to function. Over 70 million people in the USA alone suffer from unhealthy sleep patterns and that number continues to rise every day thanks to the stress of modern life.

Improved sleep alone can contribute to a healthier life, negate physical and psychological health problems, and even improve your relations at work and at home. So what can we do? How can we improve sleep? Do we need to resort to some chemically produced pill in order to get a full night’s sleep? Often times the answer is no. In severe cases you may need to see a doctor and have a prescription filled out, but that should be a last resort.

5 Easy Tips and Cures for Insomia

I have outlined 5 easy tips that can really help you get to bed and benefit from a deeper, longer sleep in a previous article which you can read here. However, continue on for information on the Floating Bed.

Makes You Want To Take a Nap Doesn`t It

Makes You Want To Take a Nap Doesn`t It

The Theory and Use of the Floating Bed
Have you ever noticed how much better you tend to sleep on a relaxing vacation? What is one of the first things that people think about when they picture themselves lying on a Caribbean beach or at their cottage? That’s right, a hammock. Imagine bringing that soothing comfort and vacation style sleep right into your bedroom. Well that is exactly what the makers of the floating bed have tried to do.
The motion and feeling behind a hammock goes a lot deeper than you may imagine and that is why the floating bed was created. Not only does the weightless, floating feeling provide undeniable comfort but the use of a floating bed is also said to bring a number of benefits including;

-The gentle rocking acts as a natural sleep aid

-Rocking allows the heart to pump much needed nutrients and blood into cells

-The floating bed can speed up recovery after illnesses and surgery by providing motion when you may be bedridden

-The floating bed reduces pressure on the back and the constant motion can decrease swelling

-Rocking can decrease stress, improve dreams, and is more relaxing than laying still

The More Motion the Better

Life is all about motion and that is what the floating bed is built around. Many scientists and nutritionists will tell you that more motion, the better. This unique bed provides comfort for your body while also ensuring that your body remains in motion. This way your blood keeps flowing and your body keeps working, even while you sleep. Essentially the rocking motion triggers a switch inside the body that can increase alertness, energy, and overall health.

Even if you do not choose to make the floating bed a fixture in your bedroom it can still create a relaxing and positive spot anywhere without your house, or even outside. Omni Pendulum, the company that created the bed, admits that they cannot even fully explain why the bed works so well. They insist there isn’t a full explanation, nor does there need to be. You lay in it and feel better; it is as simple as that.

Is There a Catch?

To be honest research about the product shows that it can be a major pain to install. And if you cannot tell from the pictures you are going to need a lot of space to fit it into a room. However, a few hours of installation and clearing a space and you can have years of benefits, without doing a thing. Keep in mind that these floating beds are expensive as well, and are going to set you back a good deal of money. However, if you have the money then the lifetime benefits are sure to be worthwhile. If you don't, a hammock has to be the next best thing right?
The floating bed is marketed as a true one time purchase and sleep aid. Instead of pills every night or a time consuming nightly tradition you can just lie down on the bed and sleep better.

Personally, I do not have one of these floating beds. I have not tried one yet either, but I can guarantee you I will be buying one in the very near future. All I have to do is find the space and the money. Once I do I will be sure to let you guys know how much better I feel. In the meantime, I'm getting a hammock while I save. Sometimes pretending you are in the Caribbean feels just as good as actually being there........well a little.

Here`s to a deeper sleep.

You WILL have to work out as much as you can and eat smart if you want to be happy and healthy. But, the mistake many people make when it comes to weight loss is that they dive in head first. They end up eating too little, revoking a number of life’s little pleasures, and have a hard time staying on track. Losing weight does not have to be excruciatingly painful. Make a change and try to fit at least four or five of these 10 simple and effective weight loss tips into your daily routine and there is an excellent just you will be thinner in days, and be able to keep the weight off.

Simple Weight Loss Tip #1- Enjoy Snacks in Moderation

Gently snacking on anything in between meals was often thought to be a major weight loss no-no. However nutritionists are beginning to realize that it is much healthier in the long run to indulge yourself and satisfy your cravings than to try to ignore them all the time. The thought behind it is that in the long run you probably won’t be able to resist the urge and will end up overeating or going on a junk food binge. Snack, but stay smart about it.

Simple Weight Loss Tip #2- Shut Down the Television

There are numerous studies that have shown that watching TV while you eat can actually cause you to consume up to 40% more calories during your meal. In fact, any distracting activity such as writing, texting, talking on the phone, or driving can prevent your brain from letting you know that you are no longer hungry. Instead of multi-tasking and eating on the go, try to make every meal a sit down event by plating it and just enjoying the food.

scaleSimple Weight Loss Tip #3- Find a Balance for Stepping on the Scale

We have discussed before the negative effects of weighing yourself on daily basis. If you step on the scale everyday then you are likely to get discouraged if there is no noticeable difference, and end up shutting down. On the other hand, neglecting to weigh yourself at least once a week may prevent you from realizing you have been making poor decisions. By keeping tabs on your weight you can determine when you need to cut back a little or when you should start spending an extra ten minutes on the treadmill.

Simple Weight Loss Tip #4- Mould your Body 3 Times a Week

Now before you get scared, this doesn’t mean that you HAVE to engage in a killer and lengthy muscle workout. However, spending just 15 minutes on a quick muscle maintaining workout 3 times a week can help you hold on to old muscle and create new muscle. Try doing just 5 minutes of squats, sit-ups, and push-ups while changing the exercise every 30 seconds. Take a breather and perform the cycle two more times. In just 15 minutes or so you can boost your muscle growth which can engage your metabolism and help you burn more calories throughout the day.

Simple Weight Loss Tip #5- Find Support and Engage

If you find yourself trapped in cravings and fighting the urge to binge or scarf down some high calorie treat, try calling a friend. Talk about something completely off topic and engage yourself in the conversation. Nutritionists have put out studies stating that often times cravings last for less than 5 minutes. By the time you are finished talking, gossiping, or doing whatever it is you do on the phone, you may not crave junk anymore. You will be closer with your friends and love the fact that you avoided the unnecessary junk and empty calories.

cravingsSimple Weight Loss Tip #6- Munch on a Hearty Breakfast

A big breakfast full of protein and carbs can ensure that your blood sugar levels remain steady throughout the day. While you may be concerned about eating a number of calories so early in the day, it can in fact fight hunger pains and prevent you from overeating during lunch and dinner. Stock up on breakfast and choose something satisfying such as whole wheat toast, turkey bacon, and egg whites. Mom always said that a big breakfast could go a long way, and she was right.

Simple Weight Loss Tip #7- Binge Drinking DOES Equal Beer Belly

Now this doesn’t mean that you can not enjoy drinking. There is often nothing better after a stressful week, and a cocktail here and there can feel so rewarding. However, one seemingly innocent Margarita can quickly pile on hundreds of empty calories. You can enjoy yourself on the weekends but try to make up for it somewhere else, or fit in a little more cardio on the morning of a party night. Also try to stick to alcoholic beverages such as vodka and soda or wine as they are sure to pack less of a caloric punch than cocktails.

Simple Weight Loss Tip #8-Consume Fruit More than Once a Day

Fruit is made up of mostly water and contains no fat. What that means is it will fill you up quicker and keep you away from other high cal options. A lot of people tend to become too concerned with the amount of carbs in fruit. With fruit you are only dealing with the good kinds of carbohydrates that can give you a steady does of healthy fiber. Indulge in apples, oranges, grapefruit, or anything that you can enjoy as a healthy snack.

sleep2Simple Weight Loss Tip #9- Fit in a Little Extra Sleep

We are all running around, working hard, taking care of kids, preparing meals, and enjoying our social lives. Sleep can easily take a backseat to all the other things going on in our lives but you should try and put it to the forefront. Just trying to get to sleep 30 minutes earlier and waking up 30 minutes later can boost your metabolism and enhance your ability to make smart food choices. Fatigue is a big cause of snacking and that extra sleep can relax you, leave you with more energy, and soothe stress.

Simple Weight Loss Tip #10- Positive Thinking and Visualization

When you feel like you are about to give in and dive into a box of chocolate or 7 Cosmopolitans, think positive and place a picture in your mind of yourself looking thin. That visual motivation of your long term success can help you stay focused on your goal and stay determined. Even if you have a rough week on the scale, do not give up and just think about how you will look later on. You can almost treat it the same way as dangling a carrot in front of a rabbit. Dangle that picture of you looking fit and feeling healthy in front of you and chances are your legs will get moving a little quicker.

If all ten of these simple weight loss tips seem easy, fit them all into your daily routine. If you see yourself struggling to make all these changes then just remember that sticking to as few as three of the tips can help you lose weight. Do not overwhelm yourself and most of all do not feel as if your weight cannot be controlled. You have the power to make small changes and benefit your body and mind. Think smart, get into a routine, and know when you deserve to reward yourself. These 10 simple weight loss tips really can have you walking with an extra bounce and feeling sexier in no time.

Try these tips out. If they make a difference in your life then let me know. If you feel that I left something out, enlighten us. If you disagree, give us your opinion. We are all in this together and the more we communicate the easier it will be to reach our goals and achieve a natural, healthy lifestyle.

5 Simple and Easy Tips and Suggestions for Improving Sleep and Getting Rid of Insomnia

Love Life with Better Sleep

Love Life with Better Sleep

Sleep Better so you can Shine Brighter

It seems that sleeping problems and insomnia are more common than ever. Stress from your job, finance troubles, a fight with your partner, or even just a good movie on TV can keep you up for hours leaving you struggling to make it through the next day. What we have learnt over the years is that sleeping is all about timing. In order to get the right amount of proper sleep you have to train your body and your mind so that it knows when it is time to sleep and when it is time to be alert. We already know that it isn’t as simple as it sounds, but here are 5 tips for better sleep so that you can feel more alert and have more energy all day long.

Improve Sleep Tip #1- Get into a Sleep Routine

Often times a truly good night’s sleep all relies on your morning wake up routine. The moment that your eyes flicker open and sun or light begins to creep in your body starts producing the hormones that will effect how you go throughout the day. Essentially the light starts to activate your brain and get everything going in your body. By getting into a routine and ensuring that you wake up everyday at the same time your body will be trained to start preparing you for the day at the right time. Your body and brain will know that it should be shutting down at midnight and be in full force midday, instead of the other way around.

If your schedule jumps all over the place and you wake up at 6am one day and 12pm the next, your body will have a hard time deciphering when it should be pumping out the proper hormones. You can easily end up feeling laggy and groggy for hours and never give yourself the opportunity to get into a groove, whether you are at work or just getting things done around the house.

insomniaImprove Sleep Tip #2- Crawl into Bed only when you’re Tired

A big reason that people spend so long laying in bed is that they force themselves to sleep even when they are not tired. If you are feeling energetic then you need to do something to rid yourself of that energy and cause that sleepy feeling to set in. If you are all energized and force yourself to lie in bed you may end up watching TV for hours or having thoughts run rampant in your head. Wait until you are settled, get into a routine, and shut off the lights when you start to feel your eyes get heavy, not long before.

Improve Sleep Tip #3- Make yourself Get Up

While you may find that you spend a solid 8 or 9 hours in bed, it doesn’t always mean that you are getting 8 hours of sleep. Going to bed at 11pm and making yourself stay there while you toss and turn can cause a big mismatch in sleeping time and confuse your body. If you find yourself wide awake at 3am after a few hours of sleep get up and do something. Walk out to the living room and read a book. Actually being awake and out of bed can increase your desire to sleep and allow you to fall back to sleep easier when you crawl back between the sheets.

Laying in bed and while you are awake can force your brain to associate being awake to being in bed, instead of the other way around. That kind of misbalance can eventually lead to that engine revving train of thought that makes falling asleep a constant struggle every night. If you get that feeling you can get rid of it, and take heed in the fact that you are not alone as that anxiety is one of the main causes of insomnia.

Improve Sleep Tip #4- Take the Time to Unwind

The hour right before you call it a night, and what you do with that time, is very important. To avoid insomnia it is very important to use that time wisely and that simple hour can make all the difference between lying awake for hours and dozing off into a revitalizing sleep. Sadly most people these days are too busy and neglect that important “me” time before bed. If you do not give yourself a single second to clear your thoughts and relax before bed all that stress will haunt you in the bed room. Sit back, enjoy a hot cup of tea and snuggle up with a good book. You may feel like you are too busy to just sit back and relax, but spending an hour winding down is a lot more productive than tossing and turning in bed all night.

Avoid a Midday Collapse with a Sleep Routine

Avoid a Midday Collapse with a Sleep Routine

Improve Sleep Tip #5- Awake the Weekend Sleep Problems

Spending all hours of the night partying or doing work on the weekend and then sleeping long into the day on Saturday and Sunday may seem like a great treat, but is throwing your body completely off balance. Even though you deserve to reward yourself after a hard week’s worth of work try to stay on schedule. Otherwise you will not be prepared to sleep on Sunday night and will get stuck with a killer case of the Moody Mondays.

Nighttime does not have to be something that you dread; it should be something that you savor. Take advantage of these tips for improving sleep and stop counting sheep or staring at the ceiling for hours every night. Get into a routine, use the time before bed to wind down and do not force yourself into bed. Before you know it you will be sleeping deeper, feeling better, and wondering what all the fuss over missed sleep was all about. Just don’t be too cheery on Monday morning or your coworkers might get a little jealous.

Appreciate What you Have and Good Things will Happen

Think about the Things you HAVE, NOT the Things you HAD

This is not a finance site or a place where we gloat about our wealth of knowledge when it comes to money or financial decisions. Clearly this is a health site. The thing is, whether you want to admit or not, finance and wealth are often directly tied to health and happiness. This is not to say that you need money to be happy by any means, but we do need to discuss the connection between positive thinking, finances, and overall happiness.

Sticking with the tradition over the past few days in terms of the power of positive thinking and daily affirmations, we have to discuss the power of the mind when it comes to finances. It seems that during this period of recession everyone is stressed out, anxious and even angry when it comes to their financial situation. People are being laid off, retirement savings are going down the drain, and everyone seems a lot more tense than usual. There is nothing we can do, right? Less money means more problems, doesn
